The Academy's Room

The Academy's room is an arena for exhibitions and presentations, and is located on the ground floor with an entrance at the back of the house. The room has been run by the Academy of Fine Arts since 2014. Exhibitions, concerts, presentations, launches and workshops are arranged here.

From the 1930s to the 1990s, this room was one of the teaching rooms for the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts. Today, the room gives students the opportunity to present a wide range of expressions, methods and strategies, and to explore and challenge the borderlands of exhibition practices.
