The Answer is Here

Group exhibition
The Answer is Here Gilles Schneider

As part of KHiO QuARTerly, five students from the MA design are presenting their exhibition at the Academy's Room: Doina Kvalvik, Per Brehmer, Katerina Kriz, Gilles Schneider and Torbjørn Norheim.

About the exhibition

We are looking for answers. Stretching our bows, trying to make the arrow hit the bull’s eye, but we can’t seem to get there. It is only after while that we realize that we always hit the middle. Because the center is everywhere. So, instead of finding answers, it might be a good time to reflect on what the question was?

In The Answer is Here we want to talk about oppression, semantics, connecting, distortion, intuition, and invite the audience to contemplate their personal answers.

The poem titled Mange års røynsle med pil og boge by Olav H. Hauge might show best what we mean by this:

Det er den svarte prikken

midt i skiva du skal treffa,

nett den, der

skal pili stå og dirra!

Men nett der treffer du ikkje.

Du er nær, nærare,

nei, ikkje nær nok.

So lyt du gå og plukka upp pilene,

gå tilbake, prøva på nytt.

Den svarte prikken tergar deg.

Til du forstår pili

som stend der og dirrar:

Her er òg eit midtpunkt.
