Academy room

Akademi

The Academy room (Akademirommet) is an arena for exhibitions and presentations, located at the back of Kunstnernes Hus. The room has been run by the Academy of Fine Arts since 2014, and in the period of October - May, weekly exhibitions, concerts, presentations, launches and workshops are arranged here. From the 1930s to the 1990s, the room was one of the teaching rooms for the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts. Today, it gives students the opportunity to present a wide range of artistic expressions, methods and strategies, and to explore and challenge the borders of exhibition practice.
