Kunstnernes Hus (Wergelandsveien 17, 0167 Oslo) is responsible for the handling of personal information we process in connection with the use of our websites and services, or when you get in touch with us in any other way.

A company that processes data on our behalf is called a data processor. The collaboration is regulated by data processor agreements with a clear purpose and clear guidelines. The same applies if Kunstnernes Hus is the data processor for our customers.

Kunstnernes Hus processes personal information in the following categories:

• Basic information about you, such as your name and contact information (e-mail address, telephone number, etc.).
• Demographic information, such as date of birth and gender.
• Information in connection with your or your employer's customer relationship with us, such as service and order information, payment information, and inquiries.
• Information when you visit our websites (including date and time, what kind of PC/mobile phone, operating system and browser you use, IP addresses, screen size, etc.)
• Any other information collected on the basis of your consent. In that case, you will receive specific information about what information we collect and what it is used for when we ask for your consent.

It is voluntary to give us access to your personal information. In some cases, however, we may need such information to provide agreed services, contact you, etc.

We collect information in several ways:

• We receive personal information directly from you when you send us e-mails, sign up for events, sign up for the newsletter or get in touch with us in other ways. This information is necessary for us to be able to deliver the service you have ordered or to be able to follow up your inquiries.
• We receive personal information indirectly from you when you use our services, e.g. our websites or the like. This information is important in order to improve and align the services we offer you.
• We receive personal information from other sources when you contact our partners via distribution channels that are connected to our distribution channels or if your information is publicly available. This information is important for us to be able to improve and customize the services we offer you.

Kunstnernes Hus uses personal information for the following purposes:

• Deliver products/services: We process personal information to provide and deliver products/services to you. For example, your information is processed in connection with registration for events, handling requests for rental or collaboration, handling of client assignments, including invoicing and other administration of the client relationship between Kunstnernes Hus and the collaboration partner. We also use data to be able to give you the best possible user experience, among other things through adapting the content display to the screen.
• Development and analysis: We use analysis tools to evaluate how our website is used. For example, we measure the number of visitors, which pages are visited, how long the visit lasts and the like. The statistics are usually used in aggregate form. This means that the information cannot be linked to you as a person.
• Sales and marketing: We use both anonymised data and personal information for marketing purposes in accordance with applicable law. These activities include marketing products and services, including creating audiences, tailoring marketing to your needs, and sending out newsletters and other information you have requested.
• Job advertisement and employment: We use personal information to assess candidates who apply for positions with us either unsolicited or by a job advertisement. These are not stored longer than necessary. You can also ask us to delete your information at any time.
• Information security and misuse of services: We process personal and traffic information to ensure good security in all our services. We also process personal data to detect or prevent various types of fraud and misuse.
• Compliance with statutory requirements: We process personal data in order to fulfill our statutory obligations, e.g. in connection with accounting and to present information to the competent authority when this is required of us in accordance with Norwegian law.
• Other purposes for which you have consented: We will be able to process your personal data for any other purpose for which you have specifically given us consent.

Our processing of your personal data may be based on one or more of the following: i) your consent; ii) fulfillment of an agreement with you; iii) fulfillment of a legal obligation or iv) for purposes related to a legitimate interest.

Kunstnernes Hus has established routines and measures to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to your personal information. All processing of the information takes place in accordance with current laws. The measures include regular risk assessments, technical systems and physical procedures to ensure information security and routines for verifying access and correction requests.

Kunstnernes Hus does not store personal information longer than is necessary to provide our services or to fulfill the purpose of the processing in any other way. It is important that the information we have about you is correct and up to date. If you discover errors, we encourage you to contact us. Unless you have given special consent, your personal information will only be disclosed to others where it is necessary to fulfill our assignment obligation. We will also be able to share personal information with our technical subcontractors, such as DX, Mailchimp or Microsoft Office 365. All exchange of data is done in accordance with clear guidelines for the processing of personal data. Where there is a statutory disclosure obligation, public authorities will also receive information.

• DX: Your contact details are important for us to be able to deliver services and products you have ordered. DX is the responsible data processor for ticket sales for events, cinema screenings and other events at Kunstnernes Hus. Your name is also stored here if you are on the guest list for or participating in one of our events. • Mailchimp: Kunstnernes Hus sends out newsletters approximately 2-4 times per month via e-mail. The data processor for the newsletter is Mailchimp. When subscribing to the newsletter, provide your name and e-mail address. This information is stored in a separate database, is not shared with others and is deleted when you cancel the subscription. • Microsoft Office 365: By sending e-mails and attachments to Kunstnernes Hus' employees in connection with events, exhibitions, film screenings, collaborations, rentals, etc. you agree that we store your information and files. The information and files can only be shared with third parties or used for marketing on Kunstnernes Hus' website, newsletters and social media channels or the like when this has been clarified via e-mail.

The privacy policy gives you a number of rights, including the right to access, correct and delete the personal information of you we have stored.

The personal information we have stored about you shall be correct and up to date. If you discover that such information is incorrect, we encourage you to contact us as indicated below. This also applies if you want the stored information to be deleted.

Regarding the claim for deletion of data, there is an exception for the information that is necessary for us to be able to provide a service that you still want to have access to, or if it is required by law to store the information for a specific period.

You also have the right to data portability. This means that, among other things, you get the opportunity to take your personal information with you in a machine-readable format.

You also have the right to oppose the processing of personal data and the right to oppose personal profiling and automated decisions. This means that you can demand that your personal information shall not be analyzed in order to reveal your behaviour, preferences, abilities or needs. However, this does not apply if the processing is necessary to fulfill an agreement that you have entered with us or if you have previously given your consent to the processing.

If you believe we do not comply with this privacy statement or the applicable law, you can send a complain to us, or possibly Datatilsynet.

Kunstnernes Hus will regularly evaluate this privacy statement to ensure that it is understandable, up-to-date and in line with current regulations.

We use cookies to track the use of kunstnerneshus.no. The purpose is to keep statistics on how the website is used and to be able to improve it. You can choose to refrain from using cookies by changing the settings in your browser. However, this may mean that you will not have access to some of our services.
