SILVER SERIES
SILVER SERIES is a screening series highlighting audiovisual works by internationally recognized artists. Through curated mini-retrospectives, film and video works are presented in the cinema at Kunstnernes Hus. The series focuses on artists who explore current political, social and technological issues through critical reflection and an innovative visual language.
Underskogen
Exhibition series focusing on young artists. Undergrowth refers both to the age of the artists and to the artist-driven scene that the initiative aims to connect with, as well as to the fundamental principles of sustainability underpinning the project.
Undergrowth is supported by the Bergesen Foundation and Talent Norway.
Summer exhibitions
The summer exhibitions give selected Norwegian artists room to produce large-scale solo exhibitions and carry out ambitious projects. The invited artists develop a commissioned work – a site-specific exhibition – that takes as its starting point the exhibition spaces and the house in general. Our summer exhibitions are supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

Supporting Structures
The program series is inspired by the upcoming rehabilitation project for Kunstnernes Hus, in connection with our 100th anniversary in 2030. The series highlights how both buildings, people – and art itself – depend on various support functions and people to exist. The (re)introduction of the Room of Rest ("Hvilerommet") at Kunstnernes Hus in collaboration with Alcro is the starting point for this series.
Film Initiative
The initiative presents moving images across our cinema and exhibition spaces and is supported by Fritt Ord and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. It includes exhibitions by Daisuke Kosugi, James Richards and Shuruq Harb.
The Autumn Exhibition
The Autumn Exhibition is an artist-juried group exhibition based on free submissions, organized annually by the Norwegian Visual Artists at Kunstnernes Hus. For over 130 years, the exhibition has shown developments in contemporary art and been an inexhaustible source of discussion about artistic quality.
