Contributors

With a background as a performance artist and organist, Liv Kristin Holmberg has for many years worked with ritual expression in church spaces through performances that explore existential questions. Her overarching artistic practice and research project, which she calls The Art Liturgy – On the Limits of Art, can be described as ritual performance based on utopian philosophy. In it, she develops her own liturgical elements in collaboration with composers and co-creators, for existential events and transitions in life — a kind of metaphysical theatre of reality.

Hubert Wild is a German countertenor. He has performed for numerous European theatres and opera houses, been a permanent member of the Salzburg State Theatre, and appeared at festivals and in concert halls across Europe. Hubert is a sought-after performer in both modern and classical music theatre works, as well as a soloist. His vocal quality, musical intelligence, and warm personality have earned him the highest admiration from both critics and audiences.

Majorstua Children’s and Youth Choir welcomes singers aged 9–18 and consists of children and young people from all over Oslo. The choir performs folk tunes, pop songs, Renaissance music, improvisations, and much more. The choir’s singers in Haunted House are: Silje, Hanne, Emilia, Elise, Michelle, Helena, Elise, Symra, Agnes, Celine, Aurora, Anna, Karolina, Klara, Inga, Agnes, Fia, Charlotte, Astrid, and Christina.

Sindre Beitohaugen is the choir’s musical and educational director. Sindre is a singer, educator, and conductor, and teaches in the music program at Edvard Munch Upper Secondary School. He was educated at the University of Oslo and the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Gisle Harr (b. 1966 in Harstad) lives and works in Oslo. He was educated at the National Academy of Fine Arts (Oslo), the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, and the Oslo Drawing and Painting School. He has also been a guest student at the National College of Art and Design (Oslo).
