For special needs, parking spaces at the back of Kunstnernes Hus may be used. Please contact the reception upon arrival.

Kunstnernes Hus does not have a ramp. For access via the lift at the back of the building, please use the doorbell next to the lift or contact hosts at the reception or restaurant upon arrival. The skylight halls, lower exhibition hall and cinema are accessible via the lift. The Academy Room and our education spaces, including Atelier Felix, do not have step‑free access.

Lift floor area: 240 × 88 cm

Toilets and cloakroom with lockable lockers are located down the stairs next to the reception.

The reception is located to the left of the stairs on the ground floor when entering through the main entrance. Further inside, past the reception and to the left, you will find an accessible toilet with changing table.

Strollers may be parked at the reception. Please ensure clear access to the accessible toilet.

Atelier Felix is located on the mezzanine level behind the door on the right halfway up the stairs from the entrance.

The Lower Exhibition Hall is located on the ground floor, straight ahead past the reception and to the left of the stairs when entering through the main entrance. The lift is located in the back left corner of the hall.

The Skylight Halls are located to the left and right at the top of the stairs. The hall on the left contains the lift. Between the halls at the far end is the Resting Room, an exhibition space focused on rest.

Juret Eatery & Bar is located on the ground floor, just inside the entrance. Please visit the bar for menu and service.

Kunstnernes Hus Cinema is located past the reception and to the right.

Kunstnernes Hus Cinema is adapted with wheelchair seating in front of the amphitheatre, approximately 4 meters from the screen. Please contact post@kunstnerneshus.no to reserve a wheelchair space in the cinema.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sign language interpreting.

Kunstnernes Hus is currently not adapted for blind or visually impaired visitors and does not have guiding lines.

Seating is available in all exhibition rooms. If you need additional seating, we recommend borrowing a portable chair, which can be found hanging on the side of the reception desk.

Service dogs are allowed in all exhibition spaces and in Atelier Felix. Pets that are not service animals are kindly requested not to be brought, out of consideration for allergies.

Animals are not permitted in the cinema.

Strollers and baby carriers are allowed in all rooms at Kunstnernes Hus. We recommend the use of a baby carrier for easier access to rooms via stairs. Strollers may be parked at the reception. Please ensure clear access to the accessible toilet.
