About the film

Leonora Carrington, Leonor Fini and Lee Miller ... have you heard of them? The male surrealist artists both worshipped and deformed women in their art, while the women that inspired them did a deep dive in their own consciousness.

About women, men, sexuality and art in an entertaining and original animated documentary. We meet Leonora Carrington, 80 years old, who is the only living artist from the surrealist community in Paris in the 30s, as well as the Norwegian artist Vilde von Krogh who has been inspired by Carrington's universe.

About the filmmaker

Anne Kjersti Bjørn (b. 1954), filmmaker and former theatre critic, is known for her creative and controversial films. With a personal and highly original style, she works with different formats, such as documentary and animation. Ung, vakker og begavet won several awards and received honorable mention at numerous Norwegian and international film festivals, such as Nordic Panorama and the Norwegian Short Film Festival.
