Blikkåpner Oslo is a collaboration between the National Museum, Astrup Fearnley Museum and Kunstnernes Hus, where we focus on art mediation by and for young people. The "eye openers" use their own experiences and interests as a starting point for communicating art to others.

At Kunstnernes Hus, you will meet Marzia, Iris, Anastacia, Ferdinand and Mateo.

Om prosjektet

At this stage of the project, 15 young people between the ages of 16 and 19 have been allocated paid part-time jobs at one of the three institutions for one year. The participants represent the 15 different districts in Oslo and will collaborate to reach out to other young people by creating events and content for young people.

The program is inspired by Blikopeners at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and is part of a larger collaboration between several art institutions in Eastern Norway. The project is financed with support from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

This autumn we have become acquainted with each other, with the institutions and with different artistic expressions and methods of communication. In 2021, the Blikkåpnere will meet the public at each of the three institutions.
