We look forward to Saturday night when the artists Ahmed Umar and Fadlabi will take over as DJs at Kunstneres Hus' restaurant.

About the event

Fadlabi was born and raised in Sudan. He is one of Oslo's most prominent, younger painters. He has been the founder of Khartoum Art Center, an artist-run social arena and exhibition venue. Fadlabi has studied political science and art at the University of Khartoum and art at the Oslo Art Academy.

Ahmed Umar is a cross-disciplinary artist working with ceramics, jewellery, performance, and printmaking. He came to Norway from Sudan as a political refugee in 2008. Umar graduated in 2016 with a Master's degree in Fine arts, section of Medium and Material based Arts from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

Kunstnernes Hus currently exhibits Fadlabi's monumental floor painting titled The Onset of Vertigo. At 5 pm on the same day, you can join us for a new edition of our series Artists presenting artists, in which Ahmed Umar will present the exhibition and Fadlabi's work.
