Sound is a common theme in this year's summer exhibitions at Kunstnernes Hus, and to celebrate it, we're setting up a super cool summer course and instrument workshop in collaboration with visual artist Oda Bremnes.

Choose between a 2-day or 4-day course:
Course 1: June 24 and 25 (2 days)
Course 2: June 26 and 27 (2 days)

About the course
In this course, participants will learn how to experiment with sound and how they can create their own fascinating compositions of sound and music using different materials and technologies. Under the close guidance of Oda, participants will build their own unique "sound machines" that they can play. They get to take home the instrument they make!
The course includes all materials and we provide fruit. Additionally, there will be interactive experiences in Maia Urstad and Pearla Pigao's exciting sound exhibitions and get-to-know-you activities in Slottsparken.

About the course instructor
Oda Bremnes (b. 1994) is a visual artist who explores the relationship between emotions and new technology. Her works often take the form of interactive installations composed of video, sound, and moving sculptures that guide the audience into a dream world or alternative reality. She experiments extensively with ideas of ghosts to create a sense of presence or the presence of something foreign and unknown. Bremnes holds an MA in Art, Music, and Design from the University of Bergen (KMD) in 2020.
