About the event

The second instalment in our temporary space Objektiv Editions at Kunstnernes Hus is titled Shaping Space and is accompanied by a new publication of the same name. Written by Lisa Andrine Bernhoft-Sjødin, it takes as its fulcrum her platform ArtConstructs. Through this online journal, hosted by Objektiv between 2018 and 2020, she wrote several exhibition reviews in order to explore the current situation for non-white artists. These texts, together with some new ones, are re-edited and collected for this publication, to examine how we can shape a new space together.

We will exhibit the books that inspired the text, as well as the film Müttererde by Jessica Lauren Elizabeth Taylor in the space, alongside a poster by the American artist Ayo Akinsete – all part of the publication. Conversation between Lisa Andrine Bernhoft-Sjødin and Nina Strand at 5pm.
