Welcome to a new edition of the lecture series 30:ten, where contemporary artists present their artistic practice in 30 minutes and ten pictures. In this edition you will meet Sara Skogøy.
Sara Skogøy
Sara Skogøy (b. 1994) has a bachelor's degree in clothing and costume design from the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts. Skogøy works with a political approach and explores aspects such as class, sexuality and satire. Through a theatrical approach to the field of art, she focuses on the extravagant in the everyday. In 2020, Skogøy won the People's Prize at the Autumn Exhibition, the State's art exhibition, with the work "My Dad went to Syden and all I got was this lousy bead-top".
30:ten
The artist talks 30:ten invite you to exclusive insights into a series of contemporary art practices. Our student panel has selected eight active artists who, within thirty minutes and ten pictures, get to present themselves and their work. After the lectures, we will open for questions from the audience. The lectures are held one Tuesday a month in the KH cinema and are free and open to everyone.
For the occasion, Lofthus Samvirkelag offers an artist discount to all participants on presentation of a ticket.

The student panel
Adin Mušić
I live in Oslo and was born and raised in Kristiansand. With a background in a bachelor's degree from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts in Oslo, I started my Master's education at the same place in 2022. I also wanted to be part of the student panel in order to have the opportunity to introduce young people to contemporary art and in that way create a wider knowledge of the art world.
Amanda Ruiz Friis
I am studying for a Bachelor's degree in the department of textile art in my second year at Oslo Academy of Fine Arts. KH student panel makes it possible for me to participate on a platform where I get an insight into the artists' practice and the diversity that exists in the young art world.

Dina Abdal Naser Haider Al-Makhrami
I am 21 years old and studying in my first year at the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts, visual arts department where I work with analogue photography and textiles. My participation in the Kunstnernes Hus student panel is based on a desire to be able to offer young people a low-threshold offer into art, an opportunity to meet active artists and learn more about contemporary art.
Dominika Kotschy
My name is Dominika Kotschy and I come from Poland. I am currently studying Screen Cultures at the University of Oslo. I also have a psychology degree and a great passion for film. I wanted to participate in the student panel to develop my abilities to organize events and get to know the art world in Oslo.
Sara Bauer Gjestland Zamecznik
I am 25 years old and taking a bachelor's degree in ceramics at KHiO. In my own work as an artist, I am currently interested in how the senses affect our everyday life, and especially how important tactile experiences are for the sense of sight.
I wanted to be on the panel because I myself am bad at prioritizing lectures and exhibitions. Through my involvement, I hope to make it easier for others, in the same situation, to be able to participate in such events.
