Eye Openers 2020-2021
Get to know the participants from 2020-2021:
Anastacia
My name is Anastacia Mala, I am 18 years old and I mainly do photography (sometimes music). The reason I wanted to become an Eye Opener is because I have always been interested in art and am often upset that Oslo does not have an art environment for people under 20 years of age. This is something I want to fix up and at the same time attract more young people to the various art institutions!
Ferdinand
My name is Ferdinand Kalfoss and I wanted to become an Eye Opener because I am very fond of art, but there are few people at my age who share this interest. In my free time I like to paint, cook and skate. I am 18 years old, and am currently attending Project School.
Iris
My name is Iris, I am 16 years old and I go to Edvard Munch upper secondary school. I wanted to be an Eye Opener because I think art should be more accessible to young people. Art is an important part of my life, and I think other young people miss out on art because they do not quite know what it is. I want to help change this circumstance.
Marzia
My name is Marzia Alizada, I am 17 years old and in my second year of study specialization in Oslo. In my free time I like to exercise, shop, read, paint and be with friends and family. I applied for the position as Eye Opener because I want gain more knowledge about art. I am very committed and like to learn new things all the time. Through art I can express myself in different ways.
Mateo
My name is Mateo Tilrem, I am 16 years old and from Skøyen in Oslo. I am inspired by good films, enthusiastic about interesting photographers, sensational art and public debates. Many different forms of aesthetics interest me. When I first heard about the Eye Opener project, I think this was something that suited me. I thought it seemed exciting to be able to learn to mediate and talk about art with other young people using our own perspectives and language. Art may seem inaccessible and complicated to many, but this project helps to include young people in a perhaps new world.
