Sigurd Eriksen

Retrospective exhibit
Born in Copenhagen on 30 January 1884 of Norwegian parents. Pupil of the Handicraft and Art Industry School in Oslo and of Zahrtmann in Copenhagen 1904-1905. Study trips to Paris 1910 and 1919. Debut at the National Art Exhibition 1906. Has held a number of separate exhibitions in Oslo and in Copenhagen 1913. Participated in the Jubilee Exhibition in 1914, the National Gallery's retrospective exhibition 1940. Participated in Norwegian exhibitions abroad, the World Exhibition in San Francisco, London, Vienna and Budapest. Participated for a number of years at the Statens Art Exhibition. Represented in the National Gallery with "Interiør" 1926, oil painting, Trondheim's and Kristiansand's first gallery. For a number of years, member of the Board of Visual Artists.
