I mention what was the reason why I started as an artist: Growing up on Øy, a solitary farm in the forest, but a short way to the sea. Walked several kilometers on a path through the forest to the village and nearest neighbour. I was the best in sports at primary school, won the school sports competition for schools in the municipality. At the age of 14-15 I was sick with gouty fever. Was ill for a year. This was hard during puberty. I had a penicillin shock and continued to iron. Then I started as an artist.

For all these years I have created the picture so that I have a main figure, from the main figure go shadows, and this shows the thoughts of the main figure. Most always in my pictures there is a lonely creature (bird, man, boy) who strongly wishes to have someone to love. Covering words for my pictures: "Someone to love."
