Edvard Munch
10.11.51 – 16.12.51

In 1951, Kunstnernes Hus held the exhibition Edvard Munch. It consisted of a large collection of Munch's works in private ownership. The public could thus experience a number of paintings and prints that were not normally available to them, and some of the works had never been shown in Norway before. In this exhibition, you could follow Munch's artistic development from when he was a child to his older days from the garden at Ekely. It was possible to see several of Munch's most famous motifs such as Madonna and Vampyr in Kunstneres Hus this winter in 1951.
