Dronebrygg
For this summer's Foyer Exhibition, our eminent Dronebrygg, represented through Anders Dahl Monsen and Daniel Teigen, have been in the driver's seat and acted as curators. Three younger Oslo-based artists have been selected for this exhibition.
About the exhibition
Ever since Kunstnernes Hus took back its old restaurant premises and in 2013 converted it into the Foyer, this new display room has exhibited works of art to give the whole house and all rooms an artistic programme. Last year, separate presentations by Karl Holmqvist and Fischli & Weiss were shown over longer periods.
Welcome to the opening of the Foyer Exhibition on Sunday 15/6 at 15. Here we will show Ragna Bley's brilliantly beautiful architectural installation Empire Prefer Quiet Methods in a close dialogue with Kunstnernes Hus' austere 30s rooms. You can also see Munan Øvrelid's Prisoners' Dilemma (climate agreement), ink drawings based on a mathematical system. Or settle down in the bar and watch Sverre Strandberg's video work Deprimerte Kvinner (stock video random playlist).
About Dronebrygg
Dronebrygg is an artist-run microbrewery that started in 2011. During autumn 2013, they established a permanent brewery at Kunstnernes Hus, making beer brewing a full-time job, and had, among other types of beer, the ambition to serve their own "artists' beer". Dronebrygg consists of artists Daniel Teigen, Anders Dahl Monsen, Marius Notvik, brewmaster Andreas Hegermann Riis and sociologist Steinar Braa.
