Charming. - Perhaps even unpleasant, but never indifferent.

This exhibition brings together for the first time the most important series of paintings in Bjørn Ransve's production. Although it became clear early in the planning phase that there was no room for drawings and graphics. The material was still so large that heavy-handed editing was necessary. The exhibition therefore does not claim to cover all important periods and themes in Ransve's art, for example the Harlequin series is not included. In the catalogue's visual material, however, we have tried to provide a more comprehensive overview of his painting.

It is not often that Kunstnernes Hus has the opportunity to present a Norwegian artist with such a comprehensive catalogue. We thank Den norske Creditbank and Erling Neby A/S for the generous support that has made this production possible.
