Ahmed Umar (b. 1988) is an Oslo-based interdisciplinary artist working with mediums such as ceramics, jewellery, performance, photography and textiles. He explores questions related to traditions, rituals, authority, cultural values, religion and personal history. He graduated with a Master's degree in Fine arts, section of Medium and Material at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2016. Since his graduation, Umar has taken part in a number of exhibitions and art related events in Norway and abroad. His art has been acquired by Drammen Museum and Oslo Municipality Art Collection. From 21th Februar to 24th of Mars he has a solo exhibition at Gallery BOA.
