Lunch tour

KH JH workshop 6128

For about 15 minutes, one of our guides will give you an insight into the exhibitions Hjemsøkt hus by Helle Siljeholm & Ingri Fiksdal, Die Pleite by Stian Ådlandsvik and Pauline by Stian Grøgaard. Perfect for when you want a little art break during lunch!

About the exhibtions

In Haunted House, Ingri Fiksdal and Helle Siljeholm dive into the historical archive of Kunstnernes Hus and the building’s nearly 100-year-old history. They search for alternative narratives about the art institution in an attempt to summon the haunted and haunting aspects of the house. Through sound, light, scenography, and performance, an immersive choreographic installation is created.

Through sculptural interventions, Die Pleite draws on the logic and ethics of bankruptcy estates to open a dialogue with the history and architecture of Kunstnernes Hus.

Stian Grøgaard (1956–2021) is known as an influential professor who introduced theory and philosophy to art education in Oslo, and as a writer. Less known, however, is his artistic practice. The exhibition, curated in collaboration with Matias Faldbakken, presents a selection of paintings and drawings that highlight two key tendencies in Grøgaard’s art: repeated depictions of his grandmother Pauline and in-depth studies of figures from art history.
