08.04.21 – 22.04.21
Aina Villager

Do you work with text in the cultural industries and need ideas and input, are you an artist who sometimes has to put words to their own art or do you want to express yourself more freely in the public art debate? Then this writing course with poet and author Aina Villanger is for you! This writing seminar is a new edition of the same seminar that was held in May and June.

Please note that the writing seminar is fully booked.

Tidspunkt

The writing course will be held on three consecutive Thursdays in April 2021:

April 8, 6-8 PM | April 15, 6-8 PM | April 22, 6-8 PM

Registration

In order to register for the course, send an e-mail to hanne@kunstnerneshus.no. The registration has to be confirmed with a Vipps-payment over 1200,- to Kunstnernes Hus #563558, one week prior to the seminar.

About the seminar

This seminar is for anyone who wants to gain insight into the art of cross-disciplinary writing in nearly any text genre; shorter texts and social media, Haiku poems, essays, articles and more. The course is meant for an adult audience with a desire to immerse themselves in art and express themselves through text.

The writing course includes four weekly webinar sessions - an online seminar on the digital platform Zoom, which participants can download free of charge, as well as individual tutorials per video or email. In the webinars, participants will read and discuss texts, as well as conduct writing exercises in dialogue with Aina Villanger.

As part of the writing art course, Villanger offers individual follow-ups with up to two feedbacks and comments on longer text works that participants are working on. The writing art course consists of a total of 6 hours spread over three sessions. The course accommodates 8 participants.

About Aina Villanger

Poet and author Aina Villanger will hold the seminar. She has published two poetry collections and a prose work, Baugeid's book (2017), for which she received the Tanum women's scholarship. Villanger was awarded the Stig Sæterbakken Memorial Prize in 2019. She has previously conducted writing courses for both adults and young people at Kunstnernes Hus.

Lecture series

Parallel to the writing course, we publish the lecture series "How to write about art?" in which six experienced art writers share their knowledge and experiences when it comes to writing about art.
