Board Game Workshop during fall break

For children 9-13 years | With Markus Moestue
30.09.24 – 03.10.24
Brettspillverksted

Did you know that people have been playing board games for millennia? During fall break, you can join a board game workshop where we work together to find ideas, develop and play our own games, inspired by a 5,000-year-old Egyptian board game.

The workshop is in Norwegian.

About the workshop

Over two or four days, you will learn about the structure of games, about luck and strategy. We will work with visual design and development of game rules, and put together finished prototypes with boards, cards, dice and checkers. All materials are included and no prior knowledge is required, just the joy of creating and playing.

About Moestue

Markus Moestue is an artist working with activism as a starting point and with different expressions. Among other things, he has created video works with political satire, cycled the Bible belt across on a dinosaur, launched a critical tourist map of Oslo and published the board game Equity, which is about price bubbles in art and stock trading.

He has worked as an art mediator at the Henie Onstad Art Center and has a lot of experience with workshops both in the Cultural Schools and for Den Kulturelle Skolesekken.
