About the film

In Parasite we encounter a family of four, living in a rundown semi-basement apartment in Seoul. With varying degrees of luck, they borrow the internet from the floor above, and to get food on the table pack pizza boxes for a restaurant chain nearby. Despite their love and strong familial bonds, they struggle in life. After a visit from a friend of the family's son, a golden opportunity, a way out of their misery suddenly reveals itself: The family does not hesitate and grabs this opportunity with both hands. At the director's own request, no more of the action will be revealed here - Parasite is an experience best enjoyed without too much previous knowledge.
