I look forward to working with colleagues, artists and collaborators to create a strong and future-oriented institution, where both the physical renovation and artistic projects go hand in hand.

In addition to a master's degree in management and innovation and a bachelor's degree in cultural management and folklore studies, Katrine pursued further education in coaching and financial management. She has previously been responsible for personnel, budgeting, and strategic planning in cultural departments, among other things as head of the culture and leisure department in Lier municipality. Katrine also has board experience from associations and foundations, including as chair of Drammen Culture Council, deputy chair of the board of Stiftelsen BUA Norge, and board member of the Kongsberg Jazz Festival.

"To succeed as a leader, I always work on fostering a positive organizational and team culture. I do this by being a clear, attentive, and engaging leader who gives employees the freedom to express their creativity. I am a cultural worker who has always operated within financial management as the foundation to drive forward projects and operations. What motivates me is the passion for building strong teams together. This is also a priority in my personal life: I have started several festivals and a choir. A long-standing commitment is the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, where I have volunteered for the past 25 years, serving as a board member in several periods and, in recent years, as head of artist services," she says.

Katrine will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our iconic building at Wergelandsveien 17, which will be rehabilitated ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2030.

Welcome to the team, Katrine!
