Rita Kernn-Larsen

This exhibition was held together with Picasso and a collection of killer foreign art. Rita Kernn-Larsen (b. 1908 - 1998) showed in this exhibition a number of paintings, but also lithography. Kernn-Larsen grew up in Hillerød in Denmark and was part of the international surrealist movement.

"Rita Kernn-Larsen, a Danish-French painter. Pupil of the Academy in Copenhagen and of Fernand Léger (1929-32) made her debut in Copenhagen 1934. Participated in the Scandinavian surrealist exhibition in Oslo and Lund 1936. She has her solo exhibition in Copenhagen 1937 and participated in the large French surrealist exhibition in France 1938. Lived 1938-47 in England, where she has had solo exhibitions and also participated in various collective exhibitions, i.a. in the Leicester Gallery in London. From 1947-50, she resided in France and exhibited in the French-Danish art gallery in Stockholm 1950 and solo exhibitions in Copenhagen 1950 and 1951."
