Morten Krogh

The exhibition Morten Krohg was shown at Kunstnernes Hus in 1967 and it contained, just as the name would suggest, art created by Morten Krogh. This spring, just before the "summer of love", the public could experience 56 works made in the techniques plastic glue on canvas and plastic glue on board.

About the artist

Morten Krogh (b. 1937) is a Norwegian painter and graphic artist who began his education in the at the Statens Håndverks- og Kunstindustriskole. He was the son of painter Per Krogh and grandson of painter Christian Krogh. When he later studied at Statens Kunstakademi, he had his own father as a teacher. Morten Krogh's artistic expression is often characterized by strong material effects and the insertion of various objects onto the abstract picture surface, which pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. He was chairman of the board for Kunstnernes Hus from 1966 to 1969, where he organized exhibitions of a particularly modern and experimental nature, and during this period Kunstnernes Hus assumed a new position as an exhibition venue in Oslo.
