Jacob Weidemann
15.04.50 – 30.04.50

When Jacob Weidemann (1923-2001) exhibited at Kunstnernes Hus in 1950, one could see a selection of both figurative and geometrically abstract paintings. He was, like many other young Norwegian artists, inspired by the abstract art that was produced abroad, but it was not yet very widespread in Norway at this time. In retrospect, it is his abstract works that have become most popular.
