Jens Ferdinand Willumsen was a Danish artist, and worked as a painter, sculptor, graphic artist, ceramicist, photographer and architect. Painting was his preferred art form. Willumsen was born in 1863 and his art was heavily influenced by symbolism. His work mostly consisted of strong colors, fast strokes and caricatures. In the 1930s he designed a separate museum for his art.
