Born 1909 in Ringerike.
Education: The Norwegian School of Crafts and Art Industry. The Norwegian Academy of Arts. Royal Academy, Copenhagen.
Study trips: France, Denmark, America.
Exhibitions: Made his debut at the National Autumn Exhibition (as a painter) in 1940, as a graphic artist in 1952. Participated in the Norsk Grafikmønstring (Norske Grafikere) over several years abroad, including Biennal Sao Paulo, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Stockholm and New York.
Solo exhibitions: Kunstnerforbundet in 1950. Gallery Paletten in 1957. Gallery Per in 1961. Galerie Internationale in 1960 and 1961.
Galerie Dome, Copenhagen in 1958. Galleri Kaare Berntsen in 1964. Galleri Permanenten, Oslo in 1969. Galerie Internationale, New York in 1973, as well as in the art associations in Sarpsborg, Fredrikstad and Sandefjord.

Tasks carried out: Decoration for Nordens Kemiske Farvefabrik, Oslo. Illustrated collection of poems by Finn Bjørnseth: "Syv Septimer", "The Wanderer", "Til minne om en klode" (1955-56). Participated in international serigraphy competition in Melzer's gallery in New York 1959, received 3rd prize. 1 1970 painted for ITT, New York, in connection with an international advertising campaign.
Scholarships: Swedish-Norwegian scholarship. The Government's Employment Grant. Kunstnerforeningen Blom's scholarship, and scholarships from the Danish-Norwegian Legat and from the Ragnhold Keyers Legat.
