Charlotte Thiis-Evensen

Mosaic
The exhibition consists of three rooms. The largest of them is divided into six parts. I enter, don't know which room to choose. As in any mosaic, any fragmentarium, the gaze falls on a tenfold point, The exhibition tells a family story, but it does not begin in any specific place The work does not provide any points of orientation beyond space and the surface Confused Do I find myself in the middle rather on the edge of a catastrophe ? Who hits it so fait?
Charlotte Thiis-Evensen's work is an interaction between several documentary, artistic expressions: video, sound recording, music and photography}. Some elements approach a journalistic genre: the reportage. But they parody journalism Det Vii say, they speak with several voices, The work can be seen as a point-by-point, personal account; something close to a confession, conveyed in fragments of a life as a daughter, mother, niece, wife, lover, The constructor is himself an actor, The fragments document and reveal Charlotte Thiis-Evensen's own life and the life of those close to her.
