Azar Alsharif
Kunstnernes Hus is pleased to present a work by the Norwegian Iranian artist Azar Alsharif (b. 1984) as part of the foyer exhibition series. The work is shown in collaboration with MELK galleri, where Alsharif is currently on view in the solo exhibition entitled The Conclusion, from October 30th to November 22nd. It springs from Alsharif's rudimentary methods and processes where the collage often acts as both an abstract and figurative starting point. The image is inspired by text and landscape, and is the result of play and experimentation with scanned textiles, painting, monoprints, symbols and an abstract alphabet.
The work has been acquired by KODE kunstmuseer og komponisthjem, Bergen.
