Tiny Connections

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, we invite you to a social gathering with a creative workshop at Kunstnernes Hus. Open to people who have experienced loss, survivors, and anyone who would like to take part.
Tea and coffee will be provided. You can also bring something to drink and some freshly baked goods from the house café, Juret at Kunstnernes Hus.
Please note that this event does not offer mental health support or professional guidance.
To visit The Autumn Exhibition 2026, the 139th National Exhibition of Art, tickets can be purchased at the reception.
About the workshop
Working with our hands can give us something tangible to focus our attention on when we are carrying things that cannot be solved, explained, or made to disappear. The figure we create can hold some of what we are feeling – an emotion, a memory, a thought, or a sense of loss. Using simple materials such as twigs, wool, beads, and thread, our hands can explore different textures that may help us feel grounded in our bodies and in the present moment. When the workshop is over, you can take your figure with you and take it apart, put it back together, or simply hold it in your hands the next time you need a small anchor.
On this day, you will meet Leonie and Mathilde.
You are warmly welcome!
