For children 9-13 years | With Sara Guldmyr & Annika Simonsson
12.08.24 – 15.08.24
Sommerferiekurs stop motion 2024

Join the summer holiday course in week 33 where you learn to make cool animation films using stop-motion techniques under the guidance of visual artists. Stop-motion is an analogue animation technique that gives life to drawings and objects and can create magical film tricks.

This course is fully booked, but it's possible to sign up for the waiting list.

Course dates

Choose between a two- or four-day course:

Course 1: 12 & 13 August (2 days)

Course 2: 14 & 15 August (2 days)

Course 3: 12.-15. August (4 days)

About the course

During two days, the participants get an introduction to stop-motion animation and simple techniques that everyone can work on on their own. The children learn to create animated films based on paper and collage. We review the process, from brainstorming, storyboard and animation to sound effects, editing and finalizing the film.

We work in small groups that collaborate to make one or more short films. If you choose the course that runs over four days, it gives you room to explore methods for your own sound effects and more films. Everyone gets their own work digitally, as well as a diploma after completing the course.

The course is led by visual artists Annika Simonsson and Sara Guldmyr. The price includes all materials and we offer fruit.
