Guided tour and risograph-workshop

Come hang out with us for an unforgettable evening of art and creativity at Kunstnernes Hus! Hamid Waheed will give us a tour of Steinar Haga Kristensen’s exhibition, and then we’ll head to the workshop where Johan Andrén, with help from Hamid, will guide us through a fun risograph printing session. Both of them are working visual artists.
As usual, Plot/Oslo events are free. If you are not a member, you can sign up for membership when you come to Kunstnernes Hus. There you will meet our Plot hosts at the reception.
About the exhibition
In Steinar Haga Kristensen’s exhibitions PANSOSIALUTVIKLINGSSENTRAL & PARASOSIALTVEKKELSESAPPARAT, ideas of sameness, difference, and repetition are put to the test through a series of doubled works that open up a sea of interpretations and new discoveries. The exhibitions bring together a wide mix of artistic expressions—paintings, etchings, textiles, photography, ceramics, everyday objects, mosaics, video, and musical theatre. You’ll also get to try out the video game Ultraidentification Pavilion, which lets you step right into the worlds many of the artworks explore.

About the event
In the risograph workshop, we’ll continue exploring questions around copies and originals through collage and the magical possibilities of riso printing. Risography is an eco-friendly and sustainable printmaking method done with a digital stencil duplicator, known for its bright and vivid colors. With riso, you print one color layer at a time, similar to screen printing and offset printing. The ink used in riso is partially transparent and blends when you layer colors, making it possible to create vibrant and unique prints.
