Immune against the virus: Young artists send their art on a journey to the group exhibition OH HELL YEA, HUMANITY. Our art is travelling, while we are advised not to. And thousands of others are detained on the fringes of Europe. Art becomes an eyewitness. Valid passports becoming a tool: Where do we stand as young artists? Where do we fit in in the digital information age communities? How to face borders these days?

Welcome to the opening on Thursday, October 22 from 18:00-22:00. Opening hours on Saturday and Sunday are 11:00-17:00.

About the exhibition

Matters of climate policy, power structures and their effects on our democracies are the topics that occupy the artists from Germany, France, Austria and Norway. This initial impulse leads to a network, open to all, including other perspectives and growing to a future sustainable cooperation. “When in privilege, do as the privileged”, make more people privileged!

The global crises are the true number one influencers of our time. They generate Clicks, Likes and Shares, which cause headaches, dizziness and neck pain. The pandemic as a global confrontation with its imposed social distancing is overcome in the digital space.

The international group discusses digitally and foster their connectedness with the exhibition visitors on social media. OH HELL YEA, HUMANITY in Akademirommet of Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo is the first of a two part exhibition. In the beginning of 2021 the exhibition will travel on to Frankfurt, Germany.
