Exhibition tour, artist meeting and workshop

Welcome to a tour and artist meeting of the exhibition and film installation Close with the artist Eli Mai Huang Nesse. For those of you who visited Eli's studio earlier this autumn, this will be a reunion with the artist in addition to seeing the result of the work she spoke about at the time.
After the tour, we invite you to the workshop Spirit in the Machine with the visual artists Johan Andrén and Robert Carter, where we explore chance and magic with the help of a spirit duplicator from the 50s, a type of copying machine and the forerunner of today's photocopier. We are inspired by poetic images from old books and printed matter and make cards and zines that can be given away for Christmas.
The tour takes place in Norwegian, while the workshop is held in English. The film is in Norwegian with English subtitles.

About the exhibition
In Close, stories about rockfalls, tunnels and the lottery are interwoven into a film installation about human resilience, coping mechanisms and hope, and the dividing lines between luck and magic.
