The artist presentation The Mechanical Breath is a reading with images, where various private mythological spaces, reflections and public stories linked to Gunvor Nervold Antonsen's artistic work are opened up. Some recognized and experienced, others fantasized and dreamed, but all bound together by the continuous thematic movement, where work, existence and activity appear in extension of each other.

The title The Mechanical Breath refers to the mechanisms involved in the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between a living organism and its environment. Two opposites that are always mutually dependent on each other, in the same way as the relationship between man, consciousness, nature and cycle.
