"Fjorden" at Kunstnernes Hus

We turn our gaze toward the Oslo Fjord – and Fjorden, the monumental vase by Halvor Skiftun Digernes that stands in our house. A silent giant that, this evening, will come to life with a completely unique “vase concert” – a performance by Sondre Lerche.
The event is a collaboration between Digernes, Kunstnernes Jur, and Kunstnernes Hus.
Program
From 16:00: Oslofjord Pacific oyster painting and decorating for children and adults
From 17:00: Grilled oysters, oyster martinis, and ocean-inspired dishes from the kitchen
18:00–19:00
• Artist talk with Halvor Skiftun Digernes
• Presentation by Eli Rinde (NIVA) on restoration efforts in the Oslo Fjord and how you can contribute as a volunteer
• Performance and concert by Sondre Lerche at the base of Fjorden
The evening continues with a DJ relay featuring DJ Kiln’it, Bendik Kaltenborn, MCT, DJ Emotional, Lars Mørch Finborud, Andreas Øverland, Farlig gjeng, DJ Dansefot, Martin Skarfar, and Bjørn Kowalski.
Burnt in an oxygen-poor fire and glazed with material taken directly from the Oslo Fjord – Pacific oysters, beach sand from Hvervenbukta, seaweed from Bygdøy and clay from Bjørvika – Fjorden carries the fjord itself within itself.
