Winter Night is based on a motif Vaage has been working with since 2005 in both painting, drawing and video.

The visual work was done in collaboration with Øyvind Aspen. The sound work was done in collaboration with Martin Tvedten, Are Mokkelbost, Eirik Lillebror Mikkelborg and David Edward Allen.

The project has received support from the Norwegian Arts Council and the Norwegian Visual Artists' Aid Fund.

Lars Monrad Vaage (b. 1973) is educated at the art academies in Helsinki and Oslo. Vaage works with painting, drawing and film and in recent years has exhibited at Haugar Kunstmuseum (Tønsberg) and the artist-run exhibition spaces Hermetiske Skygger (Oslo) and nationalmuseum berlin, among others.
