The Voyage of Puny Buny

Join us for a screening of Agatha Wara's debut short documentary film The Voyage of Puny Buny, where a grand gesture unravels into alienation, absurdity, and an alpaca with crooked eyes. About the filmmaker
Agatha Wara (b. Bolivia, raised in the U.S.) is an artist and filmmaker based in Oslo, Norway. Her work moves between video, performance, and sculpture, often staging gestures that slip between sincerity and refusal. Recurring alpaca avatars, both symbolic and awkward, embody her interest in how cultural codes can feel at once kitsch, repulsive, and strangely affecting. She has exhibited internationally at the National Museum of Norway, Reykjavík Art Museum, WIELS (Brussels), Etablissement d’en face (Brussels), and Shoot the Lobster (Los Angeles), among others. Wara studied at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College (New York) and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She is represented by Damien & the Love Guru (Brussels/Zurich).
