About the film

Signe and Thomas are in an unhealthy, competitive relationship that takes a vicious turn when Thomas suddenly has his breakthrough as a contemporary artist. In response to her partner's success, Signe makes a desperate attempt to regain her status by creating a new persona hell-bent on attracting attention and sympathy.

About the filmmaker

Kristoffer Borgli (b. 1985) is a Norwegian filmmaker and writer. His debut feature film Drib premiered at SXSW in 2017. In 2018, A Place We Call Reality received the film critics' price in Grimstad for Best short film of the year, and his short film Former Cult Member Hears Music For The First Time (2020) was officially selected for Sundance. Sick of Myself is Borgli's second feature film.
