Hester dør stående filmstill

In this documentary film directed by Kari Berge, we join Hanne Tyrmi in the process leading up to her solo exhibition Horses Die Standing at Kunstnernes Hus. Lead, steel, wool carpets, leather and chains are processed into monumental works that eventually fill all of the institution's exhibition spaces. In the documentary, we get an insight into Hanne Tyrmi's work and how she has explored materials and human relationships throughout her life. Her work is characterized by brutality and seriousness, but also gives hope.
