Too Late to Die Young by Dominga Sotomayor Castillo

The year is 1990, the Chilean summer is warm, and the country is heading towards brighter times. 16 year old Sofía observes her father and his friends as they build a new village in the forest. Here they want to live a simple, idealistic life inspired by the Bohemians, a dream that has now finally become possible after the end of Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship . Too Late to Die Young, which is largely based on director Dominga Sotomayor Castillo's own experiences, confirms her position as one of South America's most interesting young directors.
