By Mia Hansen-Løve
Wednesday 26.01.22

Set in the beautiful landscape of the island of Fårö in Sweden and with Anders Danielsen Lie, Mia Wasikowska, Tim Roth and Vicky Krieps playing the lead roles, Mia Hansen-Løve's latest film will make you soon forget about the darkness of winter! Bergman Island was part of the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

About the film

The American filmmaker couple Chris and Tony retires for the summer on the island of Fårö. In this wild and beautiful landscape, where Ingmar Bergman lived and created some of his most acclaimed works, they hope to find inspiration for their upcoming films. Most of the time they spend separately. As the days go by, Chris' fascination with the island grows, and she begins to remember her first love. Chris and Tony are torn apart, little by little, as the lines between reality and fiction are gradually erased.
