After Work explores a development in society which is raising concern for a lot of people, and affects many more. The majority of today's jobs will disappear within a few decades. While technology is surpassing human capacity, we should be thinking of what role work has in our lives. Are we ready for a surplus of time? A life without a job? With a story that crosses four continents, After Work describes four different fates, where some barely have a life without their job, while others truly enjoy their free time. Through it all we're thrown into an existential friction, between the present and the future.

Erik Gandini (b. 1967) is an Italian-Swedish filmmaker, and a professor in documentary film at Stockholm University of the Arts. Several of his films have screened at the world's most prestigious documentary film festivals, CPH:DOX and IDFA, such as After Work (2023), The Swedish Theory of Love (2015) and Surplus: Terrorized Into Being Consumers (2003), which also won a Silver Wolf at IDFA.

Plot/Oslo is an art club made up of young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who want to learn more about contemporary art. It is completely free to join.
