Blikkåpner Oslo

Png former 02

Blikkåpner Oslo is a collaboration between the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Unge Kunstneres Samfund and Kunstnernes Hus, where we focus on art mediation by and for young people. The "eye openers" use their own experiences and interests as a starting point for communicating art to others.

About the project

Through the project, 15 young people representing the 15 districts of Oslo work part-time at the three art institutions for one year. The participants are between 16 and 19 years old and collaborate to reach out to other young people by creating tailor-made events and content. As a Blikkåpner, they become part of a larger team, a movement, where the goal is to communicate art to a younger audience.

The program is inspired by Blikopeners at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and part of a larger collaboration between several art institutions in Eastern Norway. The project is financed with kind support from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
