Summer Exhibitions 2019

Kunstnernes Hus is pleased to inform that the iconic skylight hall will be open to the public in the summer of 2019 for the first time in many years. With generous help from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, Kunstnernes Hus can expand its exhibition program with a free summer exhibition that opens in early June, so that the city's residents, visitors and tourists can experience art in one of Norway's most iconic buildings.

The exhibition program consists of two solo exhibitions with the Norwegian artists Jana Winderen and Morten Andenæs. The restaurant is also open throughout the summer and a large mediation program accompanies the exhibition, including photo and sound safaris, treasure hunts and children's workshops.

The mediation program focuses on a wide audience for families and visitors, and addresses, among other things, the building's architecture. With an address in the heart of Oslo and as the closest neighbour to Slottsparken, the House of Literature and a number of tourist attractions, Kunstnernes Hus will in this way be able to offer a vibrant artistic program throughout the year.

During this period we also show Inger Lise Hansen at Kunstnernes Hus Cinema and Entrée (Bergen)'s guest performance with Maria Brinch.

Welcome!
