King Harald V (1937-2026)
It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.

King Harald has shown a warm and sincere interest in the Autumn Exhibition, the Norwegian National Art Exhibition and the Norwegian art scene. He was present at the Autumn Exhibition's centenary celebration in 1987, and over the years he has met art and artists with curiosity, openness and humour.
The Autumn Exhibition and Kunstnernes Hus are a place for free expression, strong encounters and new perspectives. We remember a king who understood the importance of art in a vibrant democracy, and who met both tradition and the present with respect.
Our dear neighbour, we thank you for your interest, presence and support over many years.
Our warmest thoughts go to the Queen, the royal family and all who have now lost a unifying and dear fellow human being.
