Wood workshop and tool course
17.02.25 – 20.02.25

During the winter holidays, we invite you to a super cool and creative wood workshop and tool course for children aged 9-13. Inspired by Jannik Abel's current exhibition Back To The Land, participants get to explore how they can process and shape wood using a variety of different tools such as saws, knives, awls, files, sandpaper, burn pens and drills.
The course is led by visual artists Mari Meen Halsøy and Annika Simonsson.
About the course
Carving in wood requires some skills and knowledge of how to handle the tools, which you will learn during the workshop. It also takes courage and patience, and these are the only things the participants need to bring with them. The course gives you room to try your hand at it and everything you make you get to take home with you. You can choose between participating for two or four days. The activities emphasize rich experiences, creative collaboration, a sense of mastery and new friendships.
